If you're the lucky owner of an original Big Block A-body from 1967-69, or a 1965 C-body, you know that the special driver's side insulator required by its biscuit-style mounting system has long been discontinued. In the past that's meant that the simple, and all-too common, occurrence of a blown insulator could be all it takes to take your dream machine off the road, permanently. But not any longer. We've developed a new left hand bracket that is a near-perfect replica of the original, with one exception; it's been slightly reconfigured to accept a more common insulator. Installed, there is no visual difference between this new bracket and the original. Bracket & insulator: $65 ($95 w/Magnum Mount), plus $5 S&H. Complete kit (L/R brackets, insulators, grade 8 fasteners): $135 ($165 w/Magnum Mount), plus $10 S&H. (Note: '67-69 A and '65 C-body require different RH brackets & insulators. The A-body requires a standard B,C,E-body bracket & insulator, the C-body uses a 63-65 B-body bracket & insulator.)

BEFORE PURCHASING A B/RB ENGINE FOR INSTALLATION IN YOUR '67-69 ORIGINAL BIG BLOCK A-BODY OR '65 C-BODY MAKE SURE IT HAS THE SPECIAL ENGINE MOUNTING BOSSES REQUIRED (See illustration >). NOT ALL B/RB ENGINES HAVE THESE B0SSES.

Originally designed to accommodate the Big Block oil pump, these bosses are absolutely essential for mounting a B/RB engine into original Big Block A & C-body cars for these years. Unfortunately, not even our most experienced Mopar experts and advisors have been able to give us a precise list of which engines, from which years, have the bosses. They can be found most reliably on newer style B/RB engines ('76 and up) because they were required to accommodate power steering in these Big Block vehicles. You may find that some engines have the bosses, but no holes -- you'll have to drill them out yourself.
