Engine Offset in the Early B-body (and other Mopars)

When correctly installed, all Chrysler engine are offset toward the passenger side — but none more so than in the '63-65 B-body. Correct engine position for these cars is 3 inches offset to the passenger side from the centerline of the crank. (This extreme offset can be startling the first time you encounter it — but, yes, it is correct.)

In other year and body types the offset is usually about 2 1/2 inches.
