Engine Offset in the Early B-body (and other Mopars)
When correctly installed, all Chrysler engine are offset toward the passenger
side but none more so than in the '63-65 B-body. Correct engine position
for these cars is 3 inches offset to the passenger side from the centerline of
the crank. (This extreme offset can be startling the first time you encounter
it but, yes, it is correct.)
In other year and body types the offset is usually about 2 1/2 inches.
